Position Overview

StartVirtual is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our sales team through outbound prospecting and appointment setting.

In this role, you will be responsible for reaching out to new business prospects, introducing our Bookkeeping and Virtual Assistant services, and scheduling qualified demos for the sales closer. This is not a closing role. The primary focus is generating interest, starting conversations, and booking high-quality appointments.

Key Responsibilities

Make 50–75 outbound calls per day to new business prospects
Prospect and identify businesses that may be a fit for StartVirtual’s services
Introduce our Bookkeeping and Virtual Assistant services and generate interest in a discovery call
Schedule qualified appointments on behalf of the sales closer
Follow up with prospects through email and SMS campaigns
Use tools such as Apollo.io, RocketReach, and Clay.io to support prospecting and enrich lead data
Maintain accurate records, notes, and activity tracking in the CRM
Work closely with the sales team to improve messaging, lead quality, and appointment outcomes
Consistently meet daily and weekly activity goals

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of cold calling experience
Proven B2B outbound prospecting and lead generation experience
Experience setting qualified appointments for a sales team
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Confident engaging business owners and decision-makers
Organized, coachable, and able to perform in a high-activity environment

Familiarity with Apollo.io, RocketReach, Clay.io, or similar lead generation tools
Experience with email and SMS outreach

You MUST HAVE the following System Requirements:

PC/Laptop with at least intel core i3 and 8GB RAM (Main and Backup)
Stable wired internet connection at least 25mbps speed (Main and Backup)
Noise cancellation headphones
Webcam/Built-in camera for Training
